The T5DM uses BYD’s proprietary Blade Battery with a 55.39 kWh capacity. Its advanced thermal management system uses direct cooling for optimal efficiency and safety. With 2C fast charging, the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in under 20 minutes. The 2025 model adds an AC slow-charging port and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capability. A 100L fuel tank enables a remarkable 1100 km comprehensive range.
Safety is a top priority. The truck is equipped with BYD’s self-developed Lingxi Electro-mechanical Braking System (BSC-T). This integrated system includes ESC, TCS, hill start assist, and hill descent control. The cab has passed the stringent European ECE R29 safety certification, ensuring occupant protection.
